Thought for May:

An Appointment to Remember

Spring is turning into summer, school is almost out, graduations are happening, and life is very, very busy.  While sports seasons and final exams are coming to a close, studying is at it’s highest point in months, and our calendars are booked with activities, we should be careful not to forget about the most important thing.

What’s more important than sports competitions, final exams, and even graduation?  Your relationship to Jesus!  This time of year it’s easy to let your relationship with your best friend slide.  When the weather’s so nice, if you aren’t indoors studying you’d rather be outdoors throwing a water balloon at your youth pastor.

But in the midst of that, don’t forget to spend time with God each day.  Sit and read your Bible.  Take a walk in the park and pray as you look at all the beautiful things He created for you.  Don’t forget to drop in at DYM each week (otherwise you might miss candy, your friends, or even more important—a life-changing touch from God).

Take out your calendar right now and set an appointment—make some time for Jesus.  He’s waiting for you.
